This week in Social Studies the students analyzed the accomplishments of ancient Egypt. Their investigations were on pyramids, mummification, pharaohs, hieroglyphics, and the Nile River. Students used documents as well as links to fun and informative websites to learn and explore these interesting topics. They completed a packet of actives for these topics. Ask your student if they completed the packet or if they need to finish it up over the weekend.
Next week there will be a quiz on Tuesday on ancient Egypt. The latter part of next week the students will be learning about Judaism, one of the world’s oldest religions based on monotheism. This will be the first of many religions the students will explore this year as our topics travel around the world to the ancient civilizations.
Have a great weekend!
