Just a quick heads up to let you know that our Second Quarter Honors Assembly has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 21st. It will be held from 8:30-9:30 in the Salem Middle School Auditorium.
We will be giving out certificates for students who made the Honor Roll and the All A Honor Roll during the second quarter. You can check to see if your children made these honors by logging into PowerSchools. All of your students also have their own usernames and passwords — so they should be able to figure out if they are on the honor roll as well. The All A honor roll is just what it says: Students who make As in every class. The Honor Roll includes all students who have a 3.0 GPA — so if a student makes a C (a 2.0 on a 4 point scale), that C can be balanced out by earning an A (a 4.0 on a 4 point scale).
We will also be giving out certificates for Teacher’s Choice award winners and Kids of Character award winners. Parents of students who are receiving these special awards have already been notified directly via email or phone call.
Please know that there is limited seating in the auditorium. We will reserve several rows in the front for our students. Also, know that it is OK for you to sign your student out after our Honors Assembly is over. While we will be doing several fun team things like kickball and choice time, there won’t be any new instruction on this day.
Hope this helps,
