After running through stations today to gain background knowledge on Malala Yousafzai, we will begin reading and annotating the article, “Malala the Powerful” next week. We will use this text to practice annotating and writing a summary paragraph as a class. This paragraph writing will be used as practice for the summary students will write on their own the following week.
There will be a quiz next Wednesday on details, central idea, sequencing and . This will be a good indication of how prepared students are the for assessment which will be given the following week.
For any student (in cores 1, 3, or 4) who was not able to finish the stations in class today, I have posted all of the materials in Google Classroom. You may work on these at home and/or at Spartan Time next week. They will be due in class on Wednesday.
