Here’s How to Calculate Honor Roll

Dear Parents,

This Friday, we will be recognizing students who made the All A and A/B Honor Roll for the first quarter. Here’s how to figure out if your child will be recognized:

All A Honor Roll: Student must have made all As in every course where a grade was given — including elective classes and PE.

A/B Honor Roll: Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA. To calculate your child’s GPA, convert all quarter letter grades into "quality points" (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0) and then average the resulting scores. Note: If a child gets a C, it IS possible to make it onto the A/B Honor Roll as long as they have enough As in their other graded classes.

Remember: We won’t notify parents directly if kids are on the Honor Roll. You can do this yourself by logging into PowerSchools — or having your child login to PowerSchools. There are just too many students on the Honor Roll for us to notify everyone directly.

Hope this helps,
