Science Grades Entered / Extra Credit Due Tomorrow

Dear Parents,

Just a quick heads up to let you know that I entered summative grades today for two of the most recent labs that we completed in class. These grades will have an impact on your child’s overall average. You can see their grades and their average by logging into PowerSchools.

Also, please know that students can turn extra credit in tomorrow during our silent reading time. There are three specific extra credit tasks available:

Cup for a Cold Drink Averaging: Calculating mean, median and mode for data from a recent lab. Posted in Google Classroom.

Fill in the Blank Energy Unit Vocabulary: Completing several fill in the blank activities about the content we are studying in class. Also available in Google Classroom.

Convection/Conduction Worksheets: Completing the back of two required classroom worksheets. One on convection and the other on conduction. Found as a hard copy in student notebooks.

Students can also always watch Brainpop videos and complete Brainpop activities on any of the content that we have currently been studying. Every student has a username and a password and should know how to do this work.

Hope this helps,
Bill Ferriter
