Science Grades Posted in Online Gradebook

Dear Parents,

As you know, we’ve spent the past two weeks working on a paper towel lab in science class. The purpose of the lab was to introduce students to the scientific method.

Your students turned that work in to me on Friday. I graded the papers over the weekend and just entered scores into my gradebook now. Your children will be getting their work back in class sometime this week.

Remember that you can find our grades online in the PowerSchool Parent Portal:

If you already have an account, you should be able to log right in. If not, there are directions for creating a new account posted here:

While it might take you a few steps to create a new account — you have to stop by school with a photo ID or mail in a form signed by a notary to verify that you are the parent of your child — we REALLY hope that you will do so! The online gradebook is the BEST way to keep up with the grades that your children are earning in our classes. What makes it even more worthwhile is that the account you create now will be the same account you use for as long as your child stays in the Wake County Public Schools.

If creating a parent account is too time consuming for you, you can sit with your child to work through the steps for creating a student account:

The advantage of creating a student account is that you don’t need to come by the school at all to create one.

Hope this helps,
