Amazing that it’s the final day of this school year. I’m appreciative of so many things. This was my first year at Salem Middle and my first year teaching 6th grade. I was nervous but also excited for the new experience. I had no idea what to expect from my new teammates or 6th grade students. Looking back on it now I’m very proud of what we accomplished.
I’m not sure what grade level I’ll be teaching next year or what team I’ll be working with. I will admit that if I have to leave the Gnomes team I will be very sad. This is the best overall team of teachers I’ve ever worked with and I really believe our students had a lot of fun and got a great education.
I’m also thankful for the supportive parents throughout this school year. You have been so generous with your words and gifts, I could never write enough thank you notes. I’ve said it before but this is a really challenging and stressful occupation, those words of encouragement and gifts of appreciation are often what keeps me motivated to keep teaching.
Thank you so much for the treats, gift cards, letters, etc…. It has been my pleasure to get to know your students. Good luck in 7th grade!!!!! GNOMES FOR LIFE!!!!!!
